Currently classified as Operating, the Walyering facility represents Strike Energy's flagship onshore gas production asset in the Perth Basin. The facility demands continuous 24/7 operational uptime, driving a persistent diesel consumption cycle for backup generation, compression units, and mobile plant. Vendor engagement spans:

Walyering operates as a conventional gas production facility extracting from Permian-age reservoirs within the Perth Basin. Core infrastructure includes production wellheads, separator trains, and gas conditioning units feeding into pipeline export. Unlike hard-rock mining, conveyor-based material handling is not applicable here; instead, the critical mechanical backbone involves high-pressure flowlines, multiphase separators, and fiscal metering stations. Power infrastructure relies on diesel-driven generation sets and grid-tie substations where available, supporting compression loads and instrumentation.

Strike Energy positions Walyering within a broader decarbonisation narrative for Western Australia's domestic gas market, framing onshore gas as a transition fuel displacing higher-emission LNG imports. ESG commitments under review include:
